Sir Elton John has reportedly turned down an offer to be a guest judge on The X-Factor.

The 63-year-old Rocket Man was reportedly offered one of the guest-judge slots to take the place of Dannii Minogue while she is on maternity leave.

However, the star reportedly turned it down as he doesn’t agree with the morals of the show.

A source said to UK newspaper The People: “He didn’t want anything to do with the show, despite its amazing viewing figures.

“It would have been great for his profile, but he didn’t feel he needed the exposure.

“And he disagrees with the show’s policies – he thought he’d have to be cruel to people who don’t deserve it.

“If his job was to seek real talent and not put down the less talented, it would have been different. “Some people think it would be fun – but he can’t see the funny side of the role or the auditions.”

She may be “retired” but that hasn’t stopped Lily Allen from lashing out at the Spice Girls and S Club 7.

The failed outspoken singer claimed she was “irritated” by pop culture in the 1990s and early 2000s in an interview with the Sky Arts channel.

“Well the music was rubbish. well these are the days of bands like S Club 7 and the Spice Girls.”

“I mean they are great for what they were but for someone who read a lot of books and engaged in conversation with people quite a lot, I felt if I’m going to be a pop star I want to be a real pop star and I want to say real things.”

Allen is no stranger to starting up pop feuds – the Smile singer has been involved in a war of words with the likes of Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole and Courtney love in the past.

Stunning mom-to-be Dannii Minogue, who is expecting a baby with model Kris Smith, says she is in no rush to be a bride. The 38-year-old Aussie told Britain’s Mirror that she is is no hurry to wed, saying, “He’ll be the perfect husband. I couldn’t complain. most girls will would be ‘right, nail him down’. We’ve talked about it. this year is just hectic, it’s just crazy. So there’s nothing planned for then.”

The X-Factor judge, who recently signed a $1,000,000+ contract to return to the show, added, “I’ll just be concentrating on being a mum. I never thought this would happen to me and it’s going to be such a big shock and a change. My friend told me to expect to be covered in spew and changing nappies, but you think you’re going have it all under control. Honestly, your world goes upside down, in a good way.”

Minogue, who said of her weight gain, “I haven’t put on that much considering the amount I’ve been eating,” has been married once before, to fellow Aussie, Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon.
