Wesley Snipes visited “The View” to promote “Brooklyn’s Finest.”
But in the episode that aired this morning, Barbara Walters warned that she was going to ask the Orlando-born actor about his personal problems, specifically his tax-evasion conviction. Two years ago in Ocala, he was sentenced to three years in prison. but he’s out on bail, making films and appealing the conviction.
“All things are falling as they should, you know. At this point, I’m at great peace with how I live my life and the blessings the good Lord has bestowed upon me,” Snipes told Walters.
“And the appeal is going through, I assume?” Walters asked.
“Absolutely, we’re going to win this, Barbara,” Snipes said. “We’re going to win this.” the studio audience applauded.
“I don’t want to influence the judge, however,” Walters said, shaking Snipes’ hand.
