Veteran producer Ellen Rakieten (“The Marriage Ref,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show”) has signed aproducing deal with Relativity Media.

Rakieten and her company Ellen Rakieten Entertainment have made amulti-year agreement with RelativityREAL, the unscripted televisionarm of Relativity Media.

She’ll create TV series for the company, which has made three othersimilar overall deals since launching 18 months ago.

“Ellen is the complete package: a talented producer, a giftedstoryteller and a savvy entrepreneur,” said RelativityREAL’s TomForman. “Ellen is exactly the kind of person we’re looking for aswe continue to build RelativityREAL into the consummate ‘producer’sshop’ and the most nimble and creative television productioncompany in the world.”

Rakieten will have a seven-figure budget to hire a staff and openoffices in Los Angeles and Chicago. RelativityREAL has previouslymade overall deals with producers Jay Blumenfield and Tony Marsh;Wilmer Valderrama’s WV Enterprises; and Ashley Tisdale’s BlondieGirl Productions.
