een pop stars are becoming more and more famous nowadays. Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus … the list goes on and on.
However, there is one teen in particular who is ridiculously popular at the moment: Justin Bieber.
How he got this insanely famous, I have no idea.
Maybe it was his music. maybe it was his “good looks.” Either way, I haven’t caught the “Bieber Fever,” as his teeny fans like to call it.
The 16-year-old Canadian singer is the definition of an overnight sensation. One day, he’s making humble YouTube videos with just him and a guitar, and the next, he’s Usher’s latest project with millions of views on his music videos.
Plus, he’s a trending topic on Twitter practically every day.
My problems with Bieber do not exactly have to do with his music.
Actually, I think his songs are quite catchy.
His new single, “Baby,” will not get out of my head. sure, the lyrics are absolutely awful. (The chorus: “And I’m like baby, baby, baby, no. I’m like baby, baby, baby, no”). But it’s got a good beat and it’s fun to sing along to.
My problems are Bieber himself and his nutty tween fans.
I’m sure Justin’s a nice kid. I really am. But he sounds like a 10-year-old girl and looks like a sixth-grader. That wouldn’t be so bad if he hadn’t just had his 16th birthday last week. He’s even known as the Fetus to the haters.
Oh, and he made a fool of himself at the Grammys when he said Beyonce instead of Bon Jovi, and then proceeded to cover up this epic fail by saying: “Sorry! Beyonce’s just always on my mind!”
Not cool, dude. not cool at all.
At least the Fetus is tolerable. His fangirls are the ones who make me not follow him on Twitter.
These girls may have surpassed Jonas Brothers fans as the craziest, most insane fans on the planet.
At a recent show at the Hollywood Palladium, a fan reported on the gossip site OceanUp that “punches started being thrown” during the concert and nearly 40 girls ended up in the infirmary. “Two had seizures. One was using an oxygen tank.”
The fan continued to say, “It’s amazing how us Bieber Fans will go through ANYTHING, just to see Justin.”
No, that’s actually kind of scary that 12-year-old girls are putting their lives in danger just to see this kid perform a few songs.
I know there’s plenty of normal Justin fans out there. In fact, I know a few of them. But those crazies really ruin it for everybody else.
Seriously, teenies, you’ll be over him when his voice gets deeper and another cute little boy is famous.
