George Clooney kept giving Oscar host, Alec Baldwin the furry eyeball during Sunday night’s Academy Awards. It got to a point where some people were wondering if Clooney was really angry with Baldwin or if he was playing along.

According to the NY Daily News, Up in the Air nominee, Clooney and Baldwin planned their uncomfortable moments (which had no one laughing and created more of an uneasy atmosphere).

The viewers at home seemed stunned and Twitter lit up like a bonfire, with people tweeting things like “Do you think they are really mad at each other?” and “Clooney looks pissed.” Whether they were joking around or not, it may have been one joke too many. Clooney is a fun guy. I would have liked to see him utilized differently.

Clooney brought girlfriend, Italian host, Elisabetta Canalis as his arm candy, but she didn’t look impressed by, well, anything. she kind of seemed bored. That’s unfortunate.
