Director Tim Burton and superstar Johnny Depp brought some financial punch to an updated version of the fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland.”The $200 million fantasy, which is rated PG and being shown in 3-D, enjoyed an incredible opening by grossing more than $116 million.The police drama “Brooklyn’s Finest,” with Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke and Richard Gere, debuted with more than $13 million.
